SCL unveils mobile solution for UltraPoS at Prepaid Expo Europe
Brussels, Belgium, May 10, 2010 -- Launch in Europe of new market leading hand held solution at PrePaid Expo Europe, May 10-12.
SCL’s hand held mobile prepaid card sales solution is being launched today and will be demonstrated live on stand xxx at PrePaid Expo Europe. Utilising any Windows Mobile-based device in conjunction with a compact portable printer and card reader; it is now quick and simple to sell prepaid cards on the move, via SCL’s world renowned UltraPoS automation system.
Ray Stanton, CEO, SCL, says: “SCL’s highly successful UltraPoS Prepaid and Foreign Exchange (FX) system now has a broad variety of applications appealing to retailers, shopping mall owners, retail banks, card programme operators, travel companies and other value added solution providers.”
UltraPoS is already a huge success both in America and in Europe. Now, the mobile hand held device offers unrivalled flexibility, facilitating the sale of instant issue cards at anytime and anywhere in the world, where there is mobile phone or broadband wireless reception.
Stanton adds: “Mobilising prepaid services in this way, allows retailers, or shopping mall owners to take the sale of Prepaid cards to their customers; targeting high footfall areas, relieving queues during busy periods, adding new capacity during seasonal hot spots and offering more convenient and quicker ways to purchase prepaid cards. In addition to selling instant issue cards, the mobile device manages integrated payments and can also accommodate balance enquiries and card reloads.
“We see excellent potential for targeting high footfall or crowded areas for prepaid card sales, such as: large stadium events like pop concerts and sport matches, festivals, college campus sales, transportation and shopping malls.”
SCL also recently launched its real-time statistics service, providing unique and bespoke data, gleaned from the many millions of prepaid cards that SCL manage the sales of each year.
According to Stanton: “The new statistics service is tailor-made to appeal to individual retail outlets, large shopping mall owners and to card scheme operators. It gives instant and bespoke on-line reports of prepaid sales, together with detailed trend information. This is vital data for our individual customers when they are evaluating, adapting and planning prepaid card marketing programmes. We can drill down and even see when individual POS stations are performing better than others in the outlet, simultaneously or at different times of day.
“With a very high percentage of major shopping malls, especially in the USA, depending upon the UltraPoS service, we are in an unrivalled position to provide our customers with their own critical up-to-the-second data, as part of the new statistics service.”
Also at Prepaid Expo Europe, SCL is presenting a prepaid travel card case study with TUI Travel on Tuesday 11th May at 9.20am and hosting a workshop at 1.15pm on Monday 10th May, entitled “Educating and Training Your Workforce to sell Prepaid Products”. SCL customers Westfield & PerfectCard will be joining them to add their real-world experience to the workshop.
